I’m a student filmmaker from New Hampshire, currently a senior at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
At Marist, I’m the President of MCTV (Marist College Television) and a Managing Editor for the campus newspaper The Circle.
My main project at the moment is a short documentary on The Falcon, a music venue in Marlboro, NY.
My short film, “Maybe Tomorrow”, won the Audience Choice Award at the Sleepless in Lake Placid 24-hour filmmaking competition in June 2011. I accompanied Mike Caiola, Nick Sortino, and Jon O’Sullivan, representing Marist in the competition.
Over the last three years at Marist, I’ve worked on various video projects including entertainment shows, commercials, short films, and numerous live production shoots.
In the fall 2010, I was as a production intern for Fuse TV‘s on season one of “Hoppus on Music” formerly known as “A Different Spin with Mark Hoppus.”
As a high school senior, I was awarded the Al Neuharth Free Spirit Award, recognized as one of the best high school journalists in the country. For one week, I attended the Free Spirit conference, met other fellow journalists from around the country, met journalism icons like Al Neuharth himself, Cathie Black, and Tim Russert.
In addition to my video work, I’m also a musician. I’ve been playing guitar for nearly seven years. My latest music project, Broken Flowers, is a collaboration with Joe Bradford. Our first album was completed in September 2011. Each song was written, recorded, and released weekly over the summer of 2011.

I'm Ryan Rivard, a student filmmaker at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
